I applaud Governor Kathy Hochul for signing off on a new law championed by two of our local state representatives here in Rockland, enabling municipalities throughout New York State to provide volunteer firefighters and ambulance corps members a property tax deduction of up to 10%.
Without question this is something I am committing the County of Rockland to opting into and calling on our Legislature to get it done expeditiously.”
