ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY. — Employers looking to connect with the next generation of workers will have two opportunities this March as Rockland County hosts a pair of job and internship fairs aimed at linking businesses with students and job seekers.
Dominican University New York will kick off the series with a career and internship expo on Tuesday, March 10, running from 2 to 5 p.m. The event is expected to draw students, recent graduates and community members seeking both immediate employment and future career pathways.
A second job and internship fair is scheduled for Thursday, March 19, at St. Thomas Aquinas College. That event will take place from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. and will similarly focus on creating connections between employers and individuals exploring internships, entry-level positions and long-term career opportunities.
Organizers say both events are open to businesses across a wide range of industries and are designed to support workforce development throughout Rockland County. Employers will have the chance to meet face-to-face with prospective candidates, discuss open positions and internships, and build relationships that could lead to future hiring.
The fairs also offer job seekers and students an opportunity to learn more about local employers, explore different career fields and gain insight into what companies are looking for as they plan for growth.
