Rockland County, NY – The Fostering Philanthropy Fund, a component of the Rockland Community Foundation, will host the 24th Annual Rockland Philanthropy Day on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.at the Crowne Plaza in Suffern, NY.
This event will feature a keynote presentation by Bob Murray, Provost of St. Thomas Aquinas College, and a proclamation from County Executive Ed Day, designating November 7th as Philanthropy Day in Rockland County. The breakfast will honor individuals and businesses whose commitment to philanthropy enhances the quality of life in the region.
The 2024 Philanthropy Day Award recipients include:
- Outstanding Philanthropist: Rena Finkelstein
- Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy: Devyn Pupo
- Outstanding Nonprofit or Fundraising Professional: Esther Schulman
- Outstanding Volunteers: Howard Goldin and Edward Frank
- Outstanding Corporate Leadership: Veolia
Monetary awards of $500 will be granted to the winners, with donations going to Rockland nonprofits. Additionally, the Rockland County Veterans Service Agency will receive a $2,500 grant for food support for local veterans.
