
Rockland County, NY – Firefighters, officials, and community leaders gathered for the Rockland County Fire Chiefs Association Annual Dinner, celebrating the dedication and commitment of volunteer firefighters who have served their communities for decades.
The event was attended by Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann, Congressman Mike Lawler, Rockland County Director of Fire and Emergency Services Chris Kear, and Rockland County Sheriff Lou Falco, among others. The evening honored local heroes who have devoted their lives to protecting residents and responding to emergencies.
Among the honorees were Joe Natale and Paul Hylas of Haverstraw, both recognized for an impressive 57 years of service, as well as Warren Gould of Nyack, who was honored for an incredible 67 years of service in firefighting. Their decades of dedication highlight the unwavering commitment of Rockland County’s volunteer fire departments.
“These honorees represent the best of our community,” said Hoehmann. “Their selflessness and dedication to protecting others, often in dangerous and unpredictable situations, are truly commendable.”
Volunteer firefighters play a vital role in Rockland County, responding to emergencies, fires, and rescues while sacrificing their personal time to keep residents safe. Events like the Fire Chiefs Association Dinner provide an opportunity to recognize these contributions and express gratitude for their service.
