New York’s Governor announced millions in grants last week for various municipalities in the Mid-Hudson Region in the Seventh Round of the “NY Forward Downtown Revitalization Initiative,” but Rockland wasn’t among the winners. $10 million went to White Plains in Westchester, and $4.5 million each to Highland Falls and Montgomery, both in Orange County. In a press event last week, Hochul went out of her way, though, to say she was proud of her recent visit to Suffern in which she got a bit of a history lesson…

Hochul encouraged people to support both the Holocaust Museum and The Haverstraw African-American Connection. Both have websites you can visit for more information, visit www.theHAAC.com and www.HolocaustStudies.org.
