Clarkstown has implemented a new Landscaper’s Licensing Law, aimed at maintaining clean and safe streets within the town. The law has been established to ensure that all landscaping businesses contribute to keeping public areas free from leaves, twigs, and other yard waste which can pose safety hazards or cause environmental issues.
Under this new regulation, every landscaping business operating within the town is required to register with the Town Clerk’s office. The registration process involves a licensing fee of $10. Additionally, all vehicles and trailers used by the landscaping business must display an official registration sticker to show compliance with the law. For businesses requiring multiple stickers, each additional sticker can be obtained for a cost of $1.00 each.
The introduction of this licensing system not only promotes a cleaner environment but also helps in regulating the landscaping industry within Clarkstown. It ensures that all businesses adhere to a standard that benefits the community at large.
Landscaping businesses are encouraged to visit the Town Clerk’s Office to obtain their license and further information on compliance and benefits of this new law. This initiative reflects the town’s commitment to environmental cleanliness and public safety.
