STONY POINT, NY – Alice Meacham, Director of the Rose Memorial Library, has recently addressed concerns raised by community members on local North Rockland social media groups regarding the library’s new building plans.
In a brief phone interview with Rockland News, Meacham expressed confidence in the project, emphasizing that the plans are both feasible and reasonable.
“Thanks so much for your feedback, Stony Point! I know there were some concerns on FB community groups this week, but our team of experts, who are very well informed on SP codes and zoning, are quite confident that the plan for this new building is not only doable, but very reasonable,” Meacham stated.
The library has been actively updating the FAQ page on their website to address the various questions and concerns raised by the community. “As you voice your concerns, we will respond. We want the library to be beneficial for this entire community,” Meacham added. The FAQ page can be accessed here.
Meacham also noted that the library will provide updated renderings and models of the new building plans well before November. Additionally, the library plans to conduct more community forums and visit local groups to ensure transparency and community involvement.
