Haverstraw, NY – The community is invited to honor and remember the victims of 9/11 at a special Candle Light Ceremony on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Peck’s Pond Park. The event, held in memory of Ashley Nicole Badenchini, will begin at 7 p.m. and will take place rain or shine.
Attendees will have the opportunity to light a floating candle in remembrance. Each candle flame will symbolize remembrance, grief, courage, memory, hope, faith, and above all, love. Floating candle lanterns will be available for $3.00 each, with all proceeds benefiting the “Friends of Ashley Nicole Memorial Fund.”
This event offers a meaningful way for the community to come together and reflect on the significance of 9/11, while also supporting a cause close to the heart of many local residents.
