Monday, we mark the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the most respected American civil rights leader in our nation’s history. Dr. King demonstrated great courage as he taught and preached about compassion, justice and forgiveness. In 1964, the Civil Rights Act was passed that made it illegal to discriminate against anyone based upon race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Throughout this weekend take some time to think about Dr. King and the life he led.
