West Nyack, NY — Congratulations to BRIDGES on the official opening of their new Sensory Room at the Palisades Center, a welcoming space designed to support individuals with sensory processing needs.
Local officials, including Councilman Donald Franchino Axelrod and representatives from Supervisor George Hoehmann’s office, joined in celebrating the launch of this inclusive initiative. The BRIDGES Sensory Room is open to children and teens up to age 18 — including toddlers and babies — who may benefit from sensory support, such as those with autism, ADHD, anxiety, or intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The room offers a calming environment with a variety of sensory activities aimed at promoting self-regulation, relaxation, and emotional well-being. All visitors must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or caregiver, ensuring a safe and supervised experience.
BRIDGES’ mission with the Sensory Room is to create a peaceful and respectful space where individuals can decompress and feel supported, right in the heart of the community at the Palisades Center.
