Get ready for a howling good time! The Town of Clarkstown is rolling out the orange carpet for its annual Halloween K-9 Costume Contest, where local pups will strut their spooky (and adorable) stuff at Congers Lake Memorial Park.
The free event will take place on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 6:00 PM, with a rain date set for October 24. The Roller Hockey Rink at 8 Gilchrest Road in Congers will transform into a runway of wagging tails, creative costumes, and plenty of photo-worthy moments.
Four-legged contestants will compete in three fun categories—Scariest, Most Original, and Cutest—with separate prizes for dogs under 25 pounds and those over 25 pounds. Whether your pooch is a tiny terror or a gentle giant, there’s a chance to shine.
In addition to the costume fun, the event will also feature on-site dog license registration, making it a great opportunity for pet owners to stay compliant while enjoying a festive community evening.
