Congers, NY – The Town of Clarkstown is set to celebrate the spooky season in style with its annual Halloween Festival at Congers Lake Memorial Park — a family favorite that promises frightful fun and community spirit for all ages.
The free event will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM (with a rain date of October 25) at 8 Gilchrest Road in Congers. Town residents are invited to enjoy a jam-packed day filled with Halloween excitement, including a hayride, costume parade, pumpkin decorating, games, refreshments, a haunted house, and more.
One of the festival’s biggest highlights will be the ever-popular Costume Contest, featuring seven categories: Scariest, Most Original, Funniest, Cutest, Best Superhero or Villain, Best Animal, and Best Movie/TV Character. Prizes will be awarded to winners in each category, and registration will be available on site.
Adding to the festive fun is Clarkstown’s Trunk or Treat, where residents can decorate their cars and hand out goodies to festival-goers. A special prize will go to the best-decorated vehicle, so creativity is encouraged! Participating cars must be set up by 10:30 AM. While the event is free, pre-registration is required for Trunk or Treat participants so organizers can plan accordingly.
