Haverstraw, NY – In an operation led by the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force, a search warrant executed on a residence in the Town of Haverstraw on June 12, 2025, resulted in the seizure of narcotics and cash tied to suspected drug sales in the area.
The search uncovered a white chunky substance weighing more than one-half ounce, which was confirmed to be cocaine. In addition to the drugs, $2,306 in U.S. currency was seized as evidence of illicit activity.
As a result of the search, two individuals, Victor Esteban, 37, and Yohelina Camilo, 34, were arrested and charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, which are class “B” felonies under New York State law.
Following their arraignment in the Town of Haverstraw Court, both suspects were released on their own recognizance, as the offenses charged do not meet the criteria for bail under current laws.
Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh commended the efforts of the Drug Task Force, the Haverstraw Police Department, and the Rockland County REACT team for their coordination in this investigation.
The case is now being prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney John Longo and Assistant District Attorney Eleanor Reilly.
