Earlier this week the Town coordinated a DWI accident scene demonstration for Nanuet High School seniors. The demonstration was planned to raise awareness of drinking and driving as well as distracted driving. The time between Memorial Day and Labor Day is known as the 100 deadliest days, with increased accidents involving young people. The demonstration provides students with a thorough dramatization of an accident scene and extrication.
Thank you to the following organizations for participating in this important event: Nanuet Union Free School District, Clarkstown Police Department and Clarkstown PBA, Nanuet Ambulance, Nanuet Fire Department, Rockland County District Attorney’s Office, Anastasia Karassik, President/Founder Larisa Karassik Foundation, and Town Justice Leslie Kahn.
Please make a plan and make smart choices. Be safe.
