Congratulations to Clarkstown’s four newest Eagle Scouts! Supervisor Hoehmann was proud to attend two Eagle Court of Honor Ceremonies for the four scouts recently. The Supervisor and Councilman Michael Graziano presented certificates to Timothy Hayden of Boy Scout Troop 29 at Street Community Center. Tim’s project benefited the Tolstoy Foundation Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Valley Cottage.
Next was extraordinary as three brothers, Jack, Kenneth and Michael Kowalski became Eagle Scouts. For Jack’s project he rebuilt the fence around the garden at the Jacob Blauvelt house at the Historical Society of Rockland County. The garden produces fresh vegetables for the Center for Safety & Change. Ken’s project was to create a memorial walkway to the monument honoring firefighter Jarred Llyod at the Columbia Volunteer Fire Company, where Jared served. Michael’s project was to create an enclosure and coop for small animals at TEVALAND, a not for profit animal rescue center in the Ramapo Mountains.
Less than four percent of all scouts attain the highest rank of Eagle. Congratulations Timothy, Jack, Kenneth, and Michael on becoming Clarkstown’s newest Eagle Scouts and for your dedication to our community!
