Union Cites Steady Leadership in Face of Pandemic
New City, NY – Ed Day, Rockland County Executive today announced the endorsement of the CSEA, the largest union representing public workers in Rockland County.
The organization cited Day’s work as County Executive over the last 8 years as the reason for their strong endorsement to keep Day at the helm of Rockland County. During his tenure, Day has turned County finances around specifically turning an inherited $138 million deficit into a current $60 million surplus.
CSEA leadership also specifically cited Day’s exceptional leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Rockland County was fortunate to have Ed Day at the helm when the pandemic hit and that steady leadership continues to be needed as we face the long-term challenges that COVID-19 has created. We look forward to continuing a positive relationship in the years to come,” said CSEA Southern Region President Anthony Adamo.
“I am pleased to have the endorsement of CSEA and the dedicated and hardworking people of the Rockland workforce. I not only appreciate their support, but their partnership in moving Rockland forward, making our County a better place to live and work for all residents,” Day said.
CSEA, the Civil Service Employees Association, proudly represents state, county, local government, school district, and private sector workers across the state, as well as licensed family childcare providers represented by VOICE/CSEA: The VOICE of Independent Childcare Educators.
