NEW CITY, NY — Rockland County takes a significant step towards inclusivity with the announcement of its first Accessible Family Fun Day scheduled for Sunday, June 23, 2024. County Executive Ed Day and Jacki Scott, Director of the County Office for People with Disabilities, have extended an open invitation to this groundbreaking event.
Designed to be a day of enjoyment and opportunity, the event promises a host of activities suited for individuals with special needs aged 12 and older. From adaptive sports that accommodate all abilities to various interactive arts, music, and other engaging activities, the event aims to provide a space where fun meets accessibility.
Held at the Rockland Community College Eugene Levy Fieldhouse, the festivities will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The location is well-equipped to host an event of this scale and nature, ensuring that accessibility is prioritized.
