Congratulations to Clarkstown’s first elected female Town Justice, Leslie Kahn in the now 230 year history of the Town of Clarkstown, as she took the bench for the first time last week.
Leslie worked in the Town Attorney’s office for the past five years, alongside Supervisor George Hoehmann, and was instrumental in his efforts to increase and strengthen code enforcement throughout the Town.
She facilitated the swift investigation and prosecution of illegal multi-family dwellings in Clarkstown and significantly increased the number of prosecutions related to building and zoning code violations.
Leslie served for twenty-five years as a prosecutor with the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office prior to working with the Town. We wish Leslie well in her new position of public service.
