New City, NY – Assemblyman Kenneth Zebrowski, who has represented New York’s 96th Assembly District since 2007, has announced his resignation effective today. Zebrowski is transitioning to the private sector but remains committed to the Rockland County community.
Zebrowski’s District spans parts of three towns: Clarkstown, Nyack and Haverstraw.
In a message via his Facebook Page, Zebrowski expressed gratitude to his constituents and colleagues for their support throughout his tenure. “Since I was first elected to the Assembly in 2007, it has been my mission to fight for Rocklanders and ensure that my constituents were represented in Albany,” Zebrowski stated. “I also worked hard to bring a professional, common-sense voice to the issues that face New York.”
Assemblyman Zebrowski reassured constituents that his office at 151 N. Main St., New City, will remain operational until a new Assemblymember is appointed. Residents can reach out with any concerns by calling 845-634-9791. Zebrowski also mentioned his availability for contact even after stepping down from his official duties.
Despite leaving elective office, Zebrowski emphasized his ongoing commitment to the Rockland County area. “While I am leaving elective office, I am staying right here in Rockland County and will continue to raise my family in West Nyack,” he noted. “I hope to continue the relationships we have forged in a new capacity.”
The announcement marks the end of Zebrowski’s 17-year tenure in the New York State Assembly, where he was well-known for his dedication to his constituents and his efforts to address key issues affecting the community. He also maintained an eloquently disarming sense of humor, which endeared himself even to some who did not agree with his policies.
