Pearl River, NY – Town of Orangetown Supervisor Teresa Kenny delighted third graders at Lincoln Avenue Elementary School last Friday as part of the Annual Rockland Read-In event. Kenny brought enthusiasm and joy to Ms. Walmsley’s classroom, reading one of her all-time favorite books, All Pigs Are Beautiful by Dick King-Smith.
The Rockland Read-In, a cherished tradition, promotes literacy and a love for reading among students across Rockland County. This year’s event drew local leaders, educators, and community members, each taking time to share stories with young readers.
For Kenny, choosing All Pigs Are Beautiful was a nod to her own childhood favorites and a chance to share a story that emphasizes kindness, curiosity, and a love for animals.
