Grab a cup and share your thoughts! Supervisor George Hoehmann invites residents to “Coffee with the Supervisor” on Saturday, June 7th, from 9 to 11 a.m. at The Coffee Maker on Maple Ave in New City. This community conversation was rescheduled from May 31st due to rain.
West Nyack Way Closure – June 4
Heads up, drivers! West Nyack Way will be closed between Route 59 and West Nyack Road starting June 4th for up to two days. Access will be limited to local businesses like Yaboo Fence and Rockland Appliance.
Street Fairs – June 1 & 8
Celebrate local! The Nanuet Street Fair kicks off June 1st from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Main Street with 200 vendors, live music, and family fun. A week later, on June 8th, New City hosts its own street fair with food, entertainment, and more!
Nanuet Cemetery Restoration – Begins June 2
Preserving history: Restoration at Nanuet Cemetery begins June 2nd, using a state grant and a professional team. Expect some equipment and activity near the Grace Baptist Church parking lot during this three-week project.
Germonds Pool Opening – June 14

Get ready for fun on the water! Lake DeForest Day returns June 28th with kayaking, canoeing, and a fishing derby. Parking at New City Little League Field, with activities from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Local Law Expands Disability Exemptions
Ramapo passed Local Law 2, expanding property tax exemption eligibility for residents with disabilities, including those in special needs trusts.

Mark Woods Jr. Inducted into NYS Veterans Hall of Fame
Senator Bill Weber posthumously honored Clarkstown Councilman Mark Woods Jr. with induction into the NYS Senate Veterans Hall of Fame. A decorated U.S. Army officer and NYPD veteran, Woods was remembered as a tireless advocate for veterans and the community.
Rockland Honors Its Heroes
Senator Weber joined Memorial Day events across Rockland—from Airmont to Tappan—culminating in a visit to the Korean War Memorial at RCC, alongside Korean War veteran and County Legislator Phil Soskin.
Recognition from Rockland’s Indian American Community
Senator Weber was honored by the Indian American community in a festive ceremony attended by 700 people, recognizing his ongoing support and advocacy. County Executive Ed Day and Legislator Aney Paul joined in celebrating Weber’s work.
