Nanuet, NY– Town officials, alongside members of the Nanuet Chamber and Junior Chamber, celebrated the official ribbon cutting of the newly completed Nanuet Gateway Park. Located at the triangle between Church Street, Middletown Road, and Old Middletown Road, this park is set to become a vibrant community hub.
The park features a variety of enhancements, including a new clock, flagpole, benches, a fountain, and a garden, all of which have significantly brightened the area. This revitalization project was made possible largely through a grant, reflecting the community’s commitment to improving local public spaces.
Supervisor George Hoehmann praised the collaborative effort, saying, “Nanuet Gateway Park is a shining example of what can be achieved when the community comes together. This space will serve as a welcoming entrance to Nanuet, providing a place for residents to gather, relax, and enjoy the beauty of our town.”
The inspiration for the park came from the students of the Nanuet Junior Chamber, whose vision and enthusiasm played a crucial role in bringing this project to life. Their ideas helped shape the design and features of the park, ensuring it meets the needs and desires of the local community.
During the ribbon cutting ceremony, Nanuet Chamber President Karen Dimond expressed her gratitude, “We are thrilled to see this project come to fruition. The collaboration between the town, the chamber, and our junior members has created a beautiful space that we can all be proud of.”
The park’s development underscores the importance of community involvement and the positive impact of public grants in enhancing local infrastructure. The new amenities are expected to draw more visitors to the area, fostering a greater sense of community and providing a pleasant environment for all to enjoy.
