NEW CITY, NY— A New City man has been indicted on charges alleging he repeatedly sexually abused a young girl over an 18-month period at multiple locations across Rockland County, District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announced Monday.
Miguel Mishquero-Paguay, 34, was arraigned in Rockland County Court on December 8, 2025, on one count of Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child and one count of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree — two of the most serious offenses in New York’s penal law.
According to allegations outlined in court documents, Mishquero-Paguay is accused of sexually abusing a female child under the age of 13 between June 1, 2022, and December 1, 2023. The incidents allegedly occurred at several locations throughout the county.
If convicted, he faces a sentence ranging from 10 years to life to a maximum of 25 years to life in state prison.
Walsh said his office is committed to supporting the victim as the case proceeds.
“My Office remains committed to securing justice and will ensure the victim has the resources and support she needs as the criminal proceedings continue,” he said in a statement.
The investigation involved the Spring Valley Police Department, the Ramapo Police Department, and the DA’s Special Victim’s Unit.
The case is being prosecuted by Senior Assistant District Attorney Brittany Richardson and Supervising Assistant District Attorney Emily McNiff.
Mishquero-Paguay is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
