HAVERSTRAW, NY – The North Rockland Chamber of Commerce successfully hosted its 2nd annual car show on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, in collaboration with RocklandWorks.org – Rockland County job placement and training service. The event witnessed an impressive turnout, drawing car enthusiasts and spectators from near and far.
This year’s car show featured a collection of approximately 30 remarkable vehicles, showcasing classic, muscle, and high-end sports cars. The event was organized by Jack Guerra of Kingz Car Crew, who also arranged for a DJ and PA system for the event.
Attendees were treated to a visual feast of automotive excellence, with each car exuding its unique charm and charisma. The winner of the car show was Cisco Baez, who entered his midnight purple Nissan R33 GTR.
Among the standout vehicles on display were (dates of vehicles are all approximations):
- Blue Duke of Earl: A classic 1940’s beauty that captured the essence of a bygone era.
- White Corvette: A 1980’s symbol of American automotive prowess and style.
- Green Boss 302: A legendary muscle car known for its power and performance.
- Yellow Vette: A vibrant and eye-catching classic sports car that turned heads.
- Green Chevy 307: A vintage gem that carried with it a piece of automotive history.
- Green Buick: An elegant and timeless vehicle that epitomized luxury.
- Red ‘vette: A bold and fiery sports car that left a lasting impression.
- Gold Hot Rod: A gleaming masterpiece of customization and speed.
- Black SS: A powerful and sleek model that exuded sophistication.
- Black Hearse from a Movie: A unique and intriguing addition that piqued curiosity.
- Black and White BMWs: Symbols of German engineering excellence in monochromatic beauty.
- Red 1940’s Desoto: A vintage classic that transported attendees back in time.
During the awards ceremony, The North Rockland Chamber of Commerce expressed its gratitude to all the car owners, participants, and event attendees who contributed to the success of this year’s car show.
