Garnerville, NY — The North Rockland Red Raiders 9U football team was recognized this week by the Haverstraw Town Board for capturing the 2025 Taconic Youth Football Division championship.
During Tuesday’s Town Board meeting, local officials honored the players and coaches for their undefeated run and division title in the 9-and-under bracket of the Taconic Youth Football League.
Board members presented the team with certificates of recognition and praised the athletes for their teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship throughout the season. Coaches were also acknowledged for their leadership and commitment to developing young players both on and off the field.
The Red Raiders’ championship season marks a milestone for the youth program, which draws players from across the North Rockland community and emphasizes skill development, safety and character-building.
Town officials said recognizing youth athletic accomplishments at public meetings highlights the positive contributions of local students and volunteer coaches.
