Town of Haverstraw, NY-Joe Bertolino, a proud alumnus of North Rockland High School, class of 1991, has embarked on a remarkable journey that has come full circle. Starting as a student in the North Rockland Central School District (NRCSD) years ago, Joe is now a dedicated Police Officer, specializing as a School Resource Officer (SRO) at Fieldstone Middle School.
Joe’s journey spans 25 years in law enforcement, with a significant portion of that time dedicated to serving the communities of Haverstraw Village and Haverstraw Town. In September, he marked the beginning of his second year as the School Resource Officer at Fieldstone Middle School, where he positively impacts the lives of students on a daily basis.
Reflecting on his time as a student in the NRCSD, Joe notes that many of his former schoolmates have become his colleagues and friends as he serves in the schools today. This sense of continuity and connection has enriched his role as an SRO, allowing him to relate to students in a unique and impactful way.
