POMONA, NY – Shawn Reilly, Co-Founder and President of the New York Boulders, has been named the new President and General Manager of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees.
Reilly, who helped launch the Boulders in 2011 and has served as their guiding force for 14 years, leaves behind a legacy rooted in community, innovation, and local pride. Under his leadership, Clover Stadium in Pomona became more than just a ballpark—it has become a center of community activity and family fun.
“Since the day we launched the New York Boulders in 2011, it has been one of the greatest honors of my life to serve as the team’s President and General Manager,” Reilly said in his announcement. “Together, we built something special at Clover Stadium—a team that reflects the pride, resilience, and spirit of Rockland County and the entire region.”
Reilly stated that although his daily role with the Boulders will come to a close, he will remain connected to the organization as a minority partner.
The Boulders’ current President and General Manager, Rob Janetschek, praised Reilly’s impact. “Shawn’s vision and leadership helped build the foundation of what the Boulders are today. I’m honored to carry the torch forward and continue the momentum we’ve built for our fans and our community.”

Boulders manager TJ Stanton, now in his fifth season, added, “I couldn’t be happier for my friend. It is no surprise to anyone who’s worked with Shawn that he’s being entrusted with such a great responsibility.”
Reilly’s promotion to the Yankees’ top affiliate represents a significant milestone—not just for his career, but for independent baseball at large. His journey from founding an Indy ball team to leading a Triple-A franchise demonstrates the expanding bridge between independent leagues and Major League Baseball.
The Boulders recently completed the 2025 season with a brief playoff series, their first since 2022. Season tickets and sponsorship information on for the Boulders’ 2026 season is available by calling (845) 364-0009 or visiting NYBoulders.com.
