Nyack, NY — A new transportation option is now available for Nyack residents and visitors looking to explore the scenic Hudson River crossing or access Tarrytown without the hassle of driving.
Thanks to the advocacy of Jon Ross from Rocklanders for Alternatives to Driving (RAD), along with Mayor Joe Rand and Village Administrator Andy Stewart, Nyack has been officially added as a stop on the HudsonLink shuttle route.
Beginning May 24 and running through October 26, 2025, the free HudsonLink shuttle will include an eastbound stop at Burd Street & South Franklin in Nyack. This location places passengers just steps from downtown shops, eateries, and cultural attractions. The shuttle operates daily from 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM, running every 20 minutes.
The addition of Nyack is part of broader efforts to improve access to the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge Shared Use Path—an award-winning 3.6-mile route connecting Rockland and Westchester counties for cyclists and pedestrians. With six scenic overlooks, public art installations, and essential amenities on both ends, the path offers a unique recreational experience for residents and tourists alike.
In addition to the shuttle service, HudsonLink operates H05 and H07 bus routes over the bridge, stopping in South Nyack and near the Westchester landing. These services link up with the Metro-North Railroad, enabling seamless transit from New York City via Grand Central Terminal.
HudsonLink buses are equipped with bike racks, making the service especially convenient for cyclists heading to the path. For full schedules and more information, visitors can consult the HudsonLink website.
