Ford Motor Company’s announcement last week that they will work with a Chinese supplier on a new $3.5 billion battery plant for electric vehicles in Michigan has rattled some here in the U.S. Tensions are high when it comes to China, especially since a suspected Chinese spy balloon was recently shot down by the U.S. military, and concerns continue to grow over the popular Chinese-owned social media app, TikTok.
