Another lawsuit has been filed against the owners of the Evergreen Court Home for Adults where two were killed in a fire last year. That’s according to the Journal News. The sons of 79-year-old Oliver Hueston, a resident of the home who died in the fire, have reportedly filed the suit against the home’s owners and the employees charged in his death. The suit alleges Hueston’s death was caused through recklessness and negligence. The fatal blaze struck in March 2021, also killing Spring Valley volunteer firefighter Jared Lloyd. His mother has also filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the village, the facility, its owners and employees.
