A former Congressional candidate is looking to make a second run at Congress this fall. Mike Parietti ran two years ago on the Preserve Ramapo party line, but says he’s looking to get the Democratic party nod for the 17th district this year…
Parietti says among his priorities, offer tax relief for homeowners and senior citizens, and protect and improve public schools. Parrietti is one of the principal organizers of Preserve Ramapo and Preserve Rockland, he’s run for office on the town and county level, and is currently a seven-year member of the Rockland County Planning Board. Incumbent congressman Mondaire Jones represents the district and is in his first term. He won office after Nita Lowey retired in 2020.
