Rockland’s former state senator will continue to try to get his seat back instead of running for the newly open seat in the Assembly. Clarkstown supervisor, Republican George Hoehmann, on Monday told “The Morning Show” that he heard former State Senator, Democrat Elijah Reichlin-Melnick, was considering running for the assembly seat that will be vacant as Democrat Ken Zebrowski announced last month he won’t be seeking re-election this November…
Elijah Reichlin-Melnick says he will continue his Senate campaign launched last summer against current State Senator, Republican Bill Weber, to regain the seat he lost after one term…
Reichlin-Melnick was defeated by Weber in November 2022. Meanwhile, Zebrowski told “The Morning Show” last month he has no plans to run for anything right now…
Clarkstown Councilman Patrick Carroll, a Democrat, announced last month that he would run for Zebrowski’s seat. So far no one has come forward on the GOP side to run.
