The Hudson Valley Humane Society of Pomona is hosting a low-cost microchipping clinic for your pets on Sunday. The microchip’s information is maintained in a database that’s accessible by other shelter organizations and veterinarians. Society president AnnMarie Gaudio says the microchips can help re-unite pets and owners when the pets get lost, or, in some cases, if they get separated for other reasons…
The $30 fee includes a lifetime enrollment for your pet. The event is Sunday afternoon from 1-4 at the Humane Society located at 200 Quaker Road in Pomona. You don’t need an appointment. Dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in carriers, and proof of current rabies shots is required. For more information about the Humane Society visit their website, www.hvhumane.org.
