Tense moments earlier this morning in Haverstraw. A person apparently got stuck in a boiler at the Bowline Plant and needed to be rescued. Volunteer firefighters and EMS from several departments responded, the victim was brought to an area hospital. No word on the extent of injuries.
Report: Police Arrest Woman in Pomona Hit-and-Run
Haverstraw Police have reportedly made an arrest in last week’s fatal hit-and-run in Pomona. That’s according to News 12. 77 year-old Daniel Deserio was hit by a car on Thiells-Mount Ivy Road. Police tell News 12 an unidentified 25-year-old Pomona woman is charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a license.
Nyack Hospital CEO Named Head of Regional Association
The President and CEO of Montefiore Nyack Hospital has been made chair of the Northern Metropolitan Hospital Association. Mark Geller’s two-year term expires at the end of December next year. NorMet represents hospitals in seven counties in the Hudson Valley, and advocates for reasonable and rational healthcare regulation and legislation.
