A $250 million lawsuit has been filed by the state A-G’s office against former President Donald Trump, three of his children, and the Trump Organization. In a press conference yesterday New York Attorney General Letitia James said the fraud involved in the family’s real estate business, including inflating the value of assets and exaggerating about the size of his properties, was “staggering”…
The suit also names ex-Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg, who pleaded guilty to fraud last month in a separate criminal case. James wants to permanently bar Trump, Don Jr., Ivanka and Eric from serving as directors in any New York company, and prevent them from making any real estate deals or getting any loans in New York for five years. Trump’s attorney Alina Habba said absolutely no wrongdoing has taken place and the Attorney General’s claims are meritless. In a post on his social media platform, Trump called James “racist,” and her investigation “another witch hunt.”
