New York’s Attorney General has filed a lawsuit against a religious pro-life organization accused of repeatedly trespassing into health care clinics in Westchester and Nassau counties, threatening workers and refusing to leave. Attorney General Letitia James said members of Red Rose Rescue, in one particular case, pretended to be patients seeking an abortion, then held the clinic’s doors open to allow other members of the group to enter and occupy the waiting room for hours to prevent women from getting services and treatment. The suit is looking to keep the group’s members from getting within 30 feet of health care clinics, along with civil penalties and damages.
