The car that plunged into the icy Hudson River off the Piermont Pier two weeks ago has been pulled to the surface and is being processed by police officials. Rockland County Sheriff Lou Falco was unable to say much about the contents of the car, which was recovered on Sunday…
The incident occurred on January 17th, and Piermont Police say surveillance footage showed a person driving a car down Ferry Road to the pier around two in the afternoon. Police also found tire marks in the snow. On the video, the driver gets out of the car as it continues to roll into the river off the pier. The dock was damaged in the process, parts of the vehicle were found nearby. Reportedly, police have not been unable to locate the driver. The investigation is on-going. If you have any information, contact the Piermont Police Detective Unit at 845-359-0240.
