Police Officers in Ramapo had to Tase a man they were trying to arrest after he allegedly damaged a local convenience store. Ramapo Police say the unidentified 41 year-old violently resisted arrest, spit in the face and on the arms of several officers, and threatened to kill them. The man was eventually taken into custody and brought to a hospital for evaluation. He was then charged with Criminal Tampering, Resisting Arrest, and other charges. He was released on an appearance ticket, with no bail. After he was released, Ramapo Police say they arrested him again after he went to an area hotel and caused damage there. A felony charge of Criminal Mischief was added to the list.
