A Ramapo Police officer was injured when an “out of control” intoxicated 19 year-old woman was causing damage to a Wesley Hills home and herself. Ramapo Police say the unidentified woman fought with the officer when he tried to offer medical assistance. She had been handcuffed and placed in the back of a police car until Spring Hill ambulance arrived. While being taken to the ambulance, Police say she kicked a female officer in the chest and face. She was arrested and charged with Second Degree Assault Intentionally Causing an Injury to an Officer, and other charges. The officer was treated and released from Good Samaritan Hospital. No word on the suspect’s status.
