Rockland County and the owners of a Spring Valley apartment complex have come to an agreement after the owners were slapped with several violations. Rockland County Executive Ed Day says the owners of Country Village Towers, on Kennedy Drive near Spring Valley High School, were fined $25,000 by the Rockland Office of Buildings and Codes and they agreed to fix the violations…
The building’s owners had taken Rockland to court challenging the process the OBC uses to prosecute fire and building code violations and come up with the fines. Day says all violations are expected to be fixed by October 30th. People who have issues with building and code violations in Spring Valley can call the OBC at 845-364-3700.
