A busy stretch of the New York State Thruway in Rockland will be getting a makeover this summer. The $18 million pavement improvement project will cover a five-mile stretch near exit 14A the Garden State Parkway extension and exit 15 to New Jersey I-287 and Route 17 South. The work includes new guide rails, bridge joint work, drainage improvements, and reflective line striping. Work is expected to take place primarily overnight on weekdays to reduce impacts on daily traffic.
