Ramapo, NY – Supervisor Michael Specht teamed up with Senator Bill Weber to support the five towns blood drive challenge, an event aimed at boosting blood donations across Rockland County. The challenge saw enthusiastic participation from residents, including Supervisor Specht’s wife, Karen, who contributed to the cause by donating blood.
Each blood donation can potentially save up to three lives, making this initiative a critical effort in supporting the community’s health needs. The Town of Clarkstown emerged as the winner of the challenge, collecting the highest number of donations.
The event was supported by the American Red Cross, with Stephanie Dunn Ashley, pictured at the center, playing a key role in organizing the blood drives. Supervisor Specht extended his congratulations to Clarkstown and expressed gratitude to everyone in the county who took the time to donate.
