
Ramapo, NY – Supervisor Michael Specht, Deputy Supervisor Brendel Logan-Charles, and members of the Ramapo Police Department welcomed the Suffern Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) Division IV to the Town of Ramapo for the annual Irish Heritage Night celebration.
The event honored Mrs. Eileen McCormack-Sammarone for her dedication to promoting Irish heritage and her long-standing commitment to the Town of Ramapo Irish Twinning Committee. McCormack-Sammarone has played a crucial role in the Twinning program since its inception, fostering cultural connections between Ramapo and Ireland.
Guest speaker Denis Mulcahy, founder of Project Children and a Nobel Peace Prize runner-up, highlighted his organization’s mission. For 50 years, Project Children has brought Catholic and Protestant Irish children to the United States, helping bridge divides and promote peace.
The evening featured performances by the NYPD Emerald Society Pipes and Drums, as well as talented Irish stepdancers and musicians, creating an atmosphere of tradition and celebration.
A heartfelt thank you was extended to AOH Division IV for organizing such a memorable event and continuing to uphold Irish culture and heritage in Ramapo.
