HAVERSTRAW, N.Y. – Local business leaders are invited to attend the next meeting of the Rockland Business Association Women’s Leadership Council on Thursday, September 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Workforce Development Board of Rockland County offices, 37 West Broad Street, 2nd Floor, Haverstraw. The event is free and open to all.
The session will feature a presentation from Rockland Works, the county’s official One-Stop Career Center, in partnership with the Workforce Development Board of Rockland County (WDBRC) and the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL). Attendees will learn about workforce development programs designed to help businesses reduce hiring costs, address labor shortages, and build a skilled talent pipeline.
Programs include on-the-job training, internships, and apprenticeships, as well as opportunities to earn industry-recognized credentials and access career pathways tailored to specific business needs. These services are offered at no cost to participating businesses.
