New City, NY – January 24, 2024 – Rockland County Executive Ed Day and County Human Rights Commissioner Spencer Chiimbwe extend a warm invitation to the public to attend the Rockland County Civil and Human Rights Hall of Fame Reception for new inductees. The event is scheduled for Monday, February 12th, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The Rockland County Civil and Human Rights Hall of Fame serves as a platform to raise awareness about human rights issues and cultivate an environment that encourages discussion and education surrounding Rockland’s civil rights history and ongoing challenges. The upcoming reception will unveil new inductees to the County’s Hall of Fame, recognizing their commitment to fostering an atmosphere that embraces and supports social justice initiatives in Rockland.
The highlight of the event will be a guest speech by Martin Luther King III. Due to limited seating, RSVP is required for attendance.
