The Village of West Haverstraw has declared a snow emergency effective from 1 AM on Tuesday, February 13th, until 8:00 PM the same day.
During a snow emergency, it is mandatory for all vehicles to be removed from the roadways. This applies to all streets within the Village of West Haverstraw. Removing vehicles from the streets allows the Department of Public Works (DPW) to safely and efficiently clear snow from the roads. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in parking tickets or possible towing of the vehicle.
In addition to the snow emergency measures, please note the following schedule changes:
- Tuesday garbage pick-up will be rescheduled to Wednesday.
- Recycling pick-up will take place on Thursday.
Furthermore, West Haverstraw Justice Court sessions scheduled for Tuesday, February 13th, will be cancelled.
