Luis Quinac-Morales, 41 of Spring Valley, New York pled guilty to Course of Sexual Conduct in the First Degree. The Honorable Anne B. Bianci heard the plea on November 6, 2024 in Rockland County Court.
Quinac-Morales routinely sexually abused a 12-year-old female in the Village of Spring Valley, beginning in 2016. The sexual abuse consisted of sexual intercourse on an ongoing basis.
Rockland County District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II said, “The defendant in this case subjected a 12- year-old innocent child to horrific sexual abuse. My Office works in collaboration with our partners in law enforcement on the local, state, and federal level and will use all available resources to protect children in Rockland County. I would like to thank the Spring Valley Police Department for working closely with detectives from the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Special Investigations Unit and the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Special Victims Unit on this investigation.”
Quinac-Morales, pled guilty prior to the commencement of a jury trial, will be sentenced on January 14, 2025. He faces a nine-year state prison sentence, to be followed by a 20-year period of post-release supervision. He will also have to join the sex offender registry.
The Spring Valley Police Department conducted the investigation with help from the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Special Investigations Unit and Special Victims Unit. The case was prosecuted by First Assistant District Attorney Kathleen Devlin and Executive Assistant District Attorney Kristin Tirino.
