SUFFERN, NY— The Village of Suffern is gearing up for a festive and meaningful community celebration as it announces its annual Breakfast with Santa, set for Sunday, December 14, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Suffern Community Center, 41 Washington Avenue.
This year’s event blends holiday cheer with a powerful mission: supporting homeless veterans and raising awareness for the National Veterans Suicide Hotline’s “Be the One” initiative. The village is partnering with American Legion Post 859 to ensure that the joy of the season also brings hope to those who have served the nation.
Suffern Mayor Michael F Curley said the morning will be filled with classic holiday magic, including a visit from Santa himself—always a major draw for local children and families. And while the breakfast is free of charge, attendees are encouraged to donate if they are able, with all contributions going directly toward veteran support efforts.
Guests can expect a full spread of breakfast favorites, including eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, bagels, croissants and more. Organizers say the goal is simple: bring the community together, create lasting memories, and make a meaningful impact during the season of giving.
“I wish everyone health and happiness during this holiday season,” Curley said, noting the village’s pride in offering an event that brings smiles to children while extending support to veterans in need.
