STONY POINT, N.Y. — A Tomkins Cove man has been arrested and charged with 25 counts of possessing child pornography following an extensive investigation conducted by the Rockland County District Attorney’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, District Attorney Thomas E. Walsh II announced today.
The suspect in question is 21 years old, and was arraigned before Rockland County Court Judge David M. Ascher on a sealed indictment resulting from the multi-agency investigation. The charges stem from a probe that began with a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which was referred to the ICAC Task Force.
Law enforcement officials executed multiple search warrants targeting the suspect’s internet accounts, electronic devices, and residence. The defendant was required to surrender his passport. The case has been adjourned until February 3, 2026, for further proceedings.
“My Office, working alongside our law enforcement partners, will continue to aggressively pursue anyone who exploits children,” said District Attorney Walsh. “I’m proud of the teamwork behind this investigation and our shared commitment to protecting our children and our county.”
The operation involved collaboration between the DA’s ICAC Task Force, the Stony Point Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, and the New York State Police. The case is being prosecuted by Supervising Assistant District Attorney Gerard M. Damiani III.
Authorities emphasized that an indictment is merely an accusation, and the suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
