Tomkins Cove, NY – Two men were taken into custody early Tuesday morning following a warrant investigation conducted by the Stony Point Police Department and the Rockland County Sheriff’s Office Intelligence Division. The investigation, carried out at approximately 6:45 AM on February 4, 2025, targeted a residence in Tomkins Cove known to house individuals with outstanding criminal warrants from both local and out-of-state jurisdictions.
Upon arrival, officers interviewed the homeowner and several individuals inside the residence. Among them was 45-year-old Robert J. Keahon, who was found to have an outstanding warrant from Worcester County, Massachusetts. Keahon faces multiple charges, including forgery, identity fraud, and larceny. He was arrested on-site, transported to the Stony Point Police Department for processing, and later arraigned. Keahon has been remanded to the Rockland County Jail, where he awaits extradition to Massachusetts.
Also arrested was 38-year-old Americo Sousa, who had a bench warrant issued by the Clarkstown Town Court for criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree, as well as various vehicle and traffic violations. Sousa was processed at the Stony Point Police Department before being turned over to the Clarkstown Police Department.
Authorities reported that two additional individuals with outstanding warrants from Spring Valley, Clarkstown, and the Bronx also reside at the address but were not present during the investigation. Law enforcement officials have indicated that the investigation is ongoing as they continue to locate and apprehend these individuals.
